Anyone that knows me knows that I am a planner and stationery junkie! I love pretty sticky notes, colorful pens, super smooth paper, and washi...love washi. DORK ALERT, know!! And when it came time to get school every year, a new planner is what I looked forward to the most. Over the years, I have had several types of planners but none of them really had everything I wanted. I like my planner to be pretty but I need it to be functional. I was looking for something that had both weekly and monthly planning space, vertical layout with a Monday start, book bound, plenty of writing space, and something that can be customized a bit.

Looking for planners got to be overwhelming because of all the choices there are out there. I bought a few of the more popular planners on the market but all of them seemed to be lacking in actual writing space or were just laid out in a way that wasn’t functional to me. After being disappointed and about to settle, I came across the Passion Planner on Instagram and really loved how clean and organized they looked.

The Passion Planner is awesome in that they have PDF files of their planner layout that you can download to try it out for yourself before buying and I loved that! It allowed me to really get a feel for their layout and realize that I found my planner!

Now here is a peak inside the Passion Planner…

The planner comes in two different sizes; the classic size that is 8.5 x 11 inches (standard paper size) and the compact size which is 5.5 x 8.5 inches. There are several cover options available now for the dated planners but this one is the classic black. The material is a faux leather that feels very smooth and worn which is one of the reasons I love it so much. The Passion Planner emblem is subtly embossed on the cover and some of the other cover options come with more design but I think they all are pretty clean looking.

The binding is strong and unlike most book bound planners, the pages lay almost completely flat. The paper used is a good, thicker quality; I am able to use various pen brands that would normally bleed through regular or cheaper paper. There is a bookmark for keeping your place and a pocket in the back for any little things you may need with you and your planner. The planner is also equipt with an elastic band to hold it shut when not in use.

As you look through the planner you will see that it is very goal oriented and has guided space for you to map out your short and long term goals and work out how you are going to achieve them. There are monthly reflection pages for you to check in on how you are doing toward your goals and the monthly and weekly spreads also help you organize your time at achieving what you want. 2016-12-26_00022016-12-26_0002 2016-12-26_00032016-12-26_0003

The monthly spreads have good size boxes to write in as well as plenty of open space for any notes that you may have for the month that doesn’t have a specific date for it. There is some guidance for you to determine what your focus is for for your personal and work life for the month as well as project to-do lists for both areas of life.

2016-12-26_00072016-12-26_0007            The weekly spreads also provide guidance for you to better map out your week. There is a place for you to determine your weekly and daily focus and a special place for you to reflect on the goods things that have happened over the week. Like the monthly spreads, there are both personal and work to do lists that are divided out into priority and errands. The weekday boxes themselves have a time schedule on the side from 6 AM to 10:30 PM in half hour intervals. (I personally don’t use the printed times being that I can be pretty flexible with my schedule but I can see how it would be great for other professionals and students.) There is a generous place for notes and doodling and lastly there is a motivational quote on each week and a suggested plan of action relate to the quote.

In the back of the planner, there is a good amount of both lined and graph paper that is great for journaling, brainstorming, doodling, etc.

2016-12-26_00062016-12-26_0006           If you are in the market for a planner that functional but can be customized to fit your personal style, the Passion Planner is an amazing and affordable option! I am truly going to be a #pashfam member for life!
