Some FAQs

When it comes to booking your photographer, I know there are some questions that are on your mind. Here are some of the questions that I frequently get asked to hopefully provide some answers.

What makes your work different from everyone else?

Photography is a very personal art and I strive to make your experience with me just that, personal. I want to be the storyteller of your memories and provide photographs full of rich, beautiful color; photographs that will flood you with emotion when you look back on them in future years and make you feel like you are there once again.


Do you travel?

YES! I will happily travel anywhere in the US. If you would like to talk about travel rates, shoot me a message and we can chat!


How do I book a session?

First, call or email me to get things rolling. I like to talk on the phone at some point at least to make sure there aren’t any unanswered questions or if anything needs clarified. Next you pick your date and then I will send you a contract and retainer. Both need to be returned to me within a week of being sent to you to save your date on my calendar.




How far in advance should I book?

I would say it is best to book at least 2 months in advance. July through October are the most popular months and are normally full by May of every year.


Where will my session be?

I typically work at the locations of your choice. When working with equine, most sessions are done at your home or boarding facility but if you would like to travel to an outside location, we just require that permission is granted for use of the location. I do have a list of horse-friendly locations if interested.


Can I bring someone along to my session?

YES! It is always fun to have another person there to tell you how awesome you are doing, provide some laughs, and help hold stuff when needed!


What if the weather is bad on the day of my session?

I am very flexible when it comes to weather rescheduling. I keep at least two days a week reserved in my schedule in case the weather doesn’t want to cooperate the day of your session. If your session requires flight and/or overnight stays all reservations can be refunded in the occurrence we must reschedule.




What should I know to get ready for my session?

I have some getting ready guides available depending what kind of session you have booked with us. Links to the guides are available in the sidebar of the blog.


What happens after the session?

After your session I will hand-edit your photographs and create a private online gallery for you. Your finished images will be shared with through your gallery as they get completed. Once your gallery is complete, your included prints will be shipped to you. An optional ordering session may be scheduled if you would like some assistance in ordering your memories in print.


Can I share my images on Facebook and Instagram?

YES! I want you to share your loved images with all your family and friends. And it is a bonus for me if you shout me out too!


Do you share my images on your site and social media?

I only share what you are comfortable with me sharing. Before your session, you will fill out a model release and you can choose how your images may or may not be shared.


Do I have to order prints through you?

Although I prefer to see your images printed with the best quality materials from the labs that I have carefully selected, it is not required. All of my packages do include a print release. Printing with me does guarantee that your images are going to look amazing no matter how they are displayed. I am also available to meet with you and help decide what products are right for you and your home.
